Sound System Setup

Last weekend just completed installing sound system at my friend, Mr.J bird farm in Jerantut. It is located in agriculture land.

The BH is located in a good location as nearby has a big swamp that able to provide plenty of food to attract swiftlets to come. According the Mr. J, sometimes there is a lot of swiftlets flying around the swamp.

When I turned on the hexagon tweeters for about 5 minutes, nearby swiftlets came towards the sound and circling over the tweeters, some even perch beside the tweeters, from there you can know that the swiftlets like the sound very much.

To my surprise, there are some bird houses in the progress of setting up around that area. They are built with 5 storeys high, hereby you know that farmers willing to invest with such huge capital in this industry, there must be its reason, but it is a long term investment. It also means that, there will be more competitive to bring in swiftlets to stay in the BH. So one must be very understand of very aspect of the BH structure from design, sound system, nesting plank, internal environment and etc.

As we know, nowaday more people build their BH in the agriculture land to prevent local authorities disturbance. This has caused the price of agriculture land to history high, some crazy farmers even offer Rm300,000.00 for a hectare.
